Mac Mineralize Skinfinish in 'Global Glow'

I have been searching for a bronzer for a while now that doesn't make me feel like an orange (or that my face is covered in mud) I also wanted to find a bronzer which added dimension to my cheeks, blends easily and adds depth to my face in these winter months, I have never tried a mineralize skin finish before  and I loved the look of 'Global Glow' straight away, it was love at first sight; now I feel like an addiction will start as I have got my eyes on 'soft and gentle'

Global Glow is a shimmery product but unlike cheaper brands the shimmer doesn't irritate my skin, it isn't harsh at all I feel like this is a great product and my everyday make up isn't complete now without it, highly recommend! RRP: £23.00

The body shop Ginger shampoo

Today I will be writing about The body shops Ginger shampoo, it is targeted at people who have dandruff on their scalp. It has only been the last 3 years I would say that my scalp has become sensitive and flaky, as my scalp became dry and tight I did begin the awful habit of scratching my scalp which then created pretty bits of snow throughout my hair!

To tackle this problem; I started to try brands of shampoo that aim to help dandruff such as Head & Shoulders and T-Gel, neither of which worked. Head & shoulders I found helped to strip hair colour and T-Gel smelt too medicinal for my liking. I discovered The Body shops Ginger shampoo around 2 years ago now online on their website http://www.thebodyshop.co.uand was amazed by the amount of positive reviews on this product, especially as many customers claimed that they noticed a difference in their hair after just the first wash.  Intrigued by this wonder product I power walked hopefully to the body shop to buy this little miracle worker.

I bought the 400ml shampoo priced at £6.50. I still remember to this day how I felt after the first time I washed my hair with this shampoo. It was such a relief to not want to claw my scalp!! after first use my scalp felt cleansed without drying, refreshed and flakes were visibly reduced (if any at all). This is the only shampoo I have found that does exactly what it says, I haven't found a shampoo since that is as good as this and I have even converted my mum to using this product! I would highly recommend this shampoo if you suffer with dandruff or a sensitive scalp!

My most used Perfumes this Summer

As we welcome in a new season it is usually welcomed with darker clothing and stronger fragrances! I am still in transition from Summer to Autumn and am finding it hard to let go! So that being said here is a look at my two most used fragrances over Summer.

L-R: Gucci by Gucci & Daisy Dream by Marc Jacobs

The first fragrance I enjoyed wearing this summer is Daisy Dream eau de toilette by Marc Jacobs, I have never purchased Daisy by Marc Jacobs (the original) but I understand it is a cult classic. I have the 50ml size of this fragrance. I would describe this as a fruity, light fresh scent definitely ideal for summer as it is very refreshing and not cloying like a Vanilla musk kind of fragrance. This fragrance I would say is ideal for daytime wear and isn't in anyway offensive. So you can get an idea of how this perfume smells here are the notes:

Top notes
Blackberry
Grapefruit
Pear

Middle notes
Lychee
Jasmine
Wisteria

Base notes
Coconut
White wood
Musk

The first spritz of this perfume I can smell the Blackberry, Jasmine and Musk the most. I would describe this as a pretty fragrance and definitely a perfume anyone can enjoy.
The second fragrance I have loved this summer is Gucci by Gucci eau de toilette. I have this in the 75ml size bottle. I would describe this as a sensual, feminine fragrance, a very beautiful perfume. This perfume is perfect especially if you wear the original Gucci by Gucci eau de parfum but are looking for a lighter version. This was the first designer fragrance I ever bought and for nostalgic purposes it will quite possibly be one of the fragrances I wear that I will be purchasing again and again.
So you can get more of an idea of what the fragrance is like here are the notes:

Top notes
Guava
Pear

Middle notes
Lily of the valley
Neroli
Tahitian tiare flower

Base notes
Patchouli
Musk
Honey

The first sprits of this perfume you can definitely smell the Pear and Guava, it is a very classy scent, the dry down is warm and floral, unlike cheaper fragrances it doesn't dry down to Musk and Vanilla, although Musk is incorporated into the Base notes I believe that it is a sophisticated addition to this fragrance, a really enjoyable unique scent.

I hope you enjoyed this post about my most used perfumes for this Summer, if there is anything you would like to ask or request just leave me a comment below. xxx

My MAC lipsticks

This post is to show my current MAC lipsticks that I use, the first MAC lipstick I ever bought was Pink Nouveau and it was a bubble gum pink colour, I no longer had this as I had used up the lipstick and then used the packaging as part of the 'back to MAC' project. The back to Mac project involves returning 6 Mac make up items packaging, back to Mac to be recycled in exchange for a brand new lipstick; it is a great idea especially if you would like to try new lipsticks and Mac provides a vast variety of shades and finishes.

These are the Mac lipsticks I currently own:

These are the names and finishes of the Mac lipsticks.

These are the swatches. From L-R MEDIA, RUBY WOO, IMPASSIONED, MORANGE & ANGEL.

Update

Not doing too well the last couple of weeks which is why I haven't posted. I have lost all motivation. I'm not too sure why this is. All I want is junk food. I will be back on track soon enough and will continue posting when I am. This isn't a sign that I have failed. It's just a temporary set back but I will continue x

I usually drink green tea as well as water through out the day but due to the hear I have just been drinking bottled water

My thoughts for the day: I feel a little weak today I'm not sure why, my sleep was broken last night and I was wide awake in the middle of the night. I wasn't sure how to boost my energy levels so I had some dark chocolate. I am aware I'm not following juice plus to the T but I am doing my best and already seeing improvements.
